Crap. I'm going to be the "odd man out", Mr. Sanders.
While the medium (water colors+ heavy paper?) gives it that lovely velvety look, the tones seem to blend so well as to give it a “monochromatic” feel? Just an idea, but if you might have added some light to her eye, or lightened the color (some green perhaps?) it might have given her a bit of “pop”. That slight tilt over into innuendo, past ingénue?
Again, life is not a popularity contest, a lighter touch on the palms of the hands, and soles of the feet, and perhaps a touch of obsidian through her hair, lashes and brows. But then what do I know. I’m merely a slave to art, you’re a true artist. It is beautiful in and of itself, because it is “creation”.
