I was wanting to do a drawing of a witch. This is the tenth sketch. Maybe the fifteenth. Some worked out better, but I kept pushing on this one. I filed the others and I'll get to them when I have more time. You can see that I just scribble ideas without much regard to a finished drawing. If I see something I like, I'll turn the paper over and draw on the back using a light box.
Good witches ride side-saddle. Only bad or sexy witches ride astride and the latter set the section of their broom that is between their legs to vibrate! =~_^=

I will be reading and re-reading this tutorial for months. Thankyou for having taken the time to prepare and share such an in-depth and simplified view into your process. I do not think you can even imagine the number of questions this tutorial has answered for a tinkerer such as myself, coming to terms with traditional media, scanning, photoshop, inking, even the proper use of tracing. So many answers, in such a fun medium. Thankyou thankyou thankyou.

great tip about flipping it over. it's good to see your sketches are as messy as mine are XD though of course, you have alot more control, and i need to start learing to finish my artwork properly =]
haha what a freekin great idea, i woulda never thought to just turn the paper over and draw on the back, you also get to correct stuff that looks wired when you flip things! thanks for the tip!
Well, I was going to wait until the drawing was finished, then go back through the tutorial and pick my favorite step to save for future reference... But I'm just gonna save them all.
