A friend requested a design recently. She was interested in something for summer, but didn't specify anything beyond that. This is the sort of stuff I love trying, and I always need a reason to draw. I am not a very good costume designer, but I liked the stuff she makes so I really wanted to give it a go. After some scribbling, I hit on the idea of future mail delivery. I was a fan of the sexy McDonalds outfits in The Fifth Element, and thought I might be able to do something like that for the US Mail. I thought a little touch of Mercury and an old-fashioned messenger bag coupled with a short skirt and clean, snug-fitting top might be right.

My client preferred the outfit on the right, with some modifications. I'll post the finished design tonight or tomorrow.

There is something about the design of these girls that I am just so drop dead in love with. To the point of... obsession. They are so amazing... it hurts.
